Celebration/Festiva/RCI Continued

Well, it seems that the previous blog has received so many replies and updates, that some browsers, mine included, were not showing all the updates.

If you are not able to see all the comments, try clicking "Load More."  If that does not work (and it didn't work for me), try another browser.

Once I switched from Internet Explorer to Safari, I was able to click on the "Load More" link and everything showed up.

Feel free to comment either on the old thread or on this one...I'm monitoring both closely.

Received the same massive cheque today, I will give it to a charity. No letter of explanation or how the deed return will move forward, member services was absolutely no use, I will not be paying fees either.

Sorry for the delay, I haven't forgotten to post the number up for who I spoke to and yes Festiva were useless I must have rang about 4 numbers before speaking to someone that knew about the class action. She said a letter is on its way and we are to call that number. I'm speechless!!

Do our RCI fees have to be paid in order to use the bonus week we get from this settlement. I also received a check for $14.82. I wonder what the lawyers received from all of this.

Hello, sorry for the delay. I mis- placed the number for Festiva, however today we received the long awaited letter to relinquish our timeshare. On the warranty deed it states 106000 points instead of the 31000 so slightly confused. I will call the member services dept to enquire. There number is 1-855-217-4789

I have just spoken to Festiva, on the general warranty deed they have stated the wrong amount of points, Festiva have referred me back to my legal representative so I will need to email Michael Finn fir advise. Check your letters carefully. Maxine

I too received the check and a letter stating I owed pass maintenance fees. I sent a letter back to them requesting a breakdown of the fees. They said in the letter that the deedout option could not be put in effect un less I paid pass fees.

does anyone know if in order to get the one week we are entitled to from the settlement if our RCI fees have to be up to date

Hi

Your maintenance fees have to be up to date up to 2016. The RCI membership fees, I emailed RCI membership services to say I have opted for the deedback option and that my RCI points will also be redeemed so therefore I was not paying this years fees. However I read the settlement agreement and it states if you have used your 2017 points then you will have to pay. I had my deedback notarised last Sunday and posted it to US. Note if you live in the U.K. you will need to put stamps on do not use the pre franked envelope

Sorry I omitted to answer your question about the RCI membership fees being up to date to get the one week from our settlement. I would assume yes our fees would need to be up to date unless someone can correct me

Has anyone received paperwork from the "Deed Back" option from Festiva. It was supposed to be sent by the end of 1Q 2017

I have still not heard anything about the week we are entitled to What is happening with that. I received my big check but that is all.

I just called and tired to use the week as part of the settlement and was told my dues has to be paid up. This is crazy I got a check for $14.82 and one week now I have to pay up dues???

I just found out that the week we are entitled to can only be used if your fees with RCI are paid up Is that true. Also I have tried to post comments concerning this but they never show up

I have tried to post several times but have not seen it.

You have to call 888-724-1732 at RCI I also found out that our fees have to be paid up with them to be entitled to the week

Hi, Our maintenance fees are all paid up however we did not pay the RCI membership fee for 2017, are you saying this must be paid before we can use our week? I will call RCI tomorrow

rci is telling us that we can use our points from 2015 that were not used just the ones from this year cannot be used. I need to know if this is true!
