Timeshare Owner Survey

I was going to do a Facebook survey, but quickly realized that people might not want to use their name.  So the blog it is!

Have you, as a timeshare owner, ever gone through a timeshare sales presentation JUST for the incentives, knowing full well that you were not going to buy anything?

I don't mean the first time you sat through one.  I mean after you already owned.

What kind of incentives did you want/get?

What kind of incentives would cause you to do it again?

Thanks as always for your input.

TIMESHARE WHAT THE HECK
People often think or see their neighbor's yards GREENER. It's just a misconception, because
the truth is ,THE GRASS THAT WATERED IS GREENER.
Similarly many travelers, while visiting , get to the FOOLISH MOOD that the hotel or the
resort is a paradise. An opportunist salesman or woman seize their LONGING MOMENTUM
to hook them up with a TIMESHARE contract for life.
The weird thing about it, most of these people have swimming pool at home thus they prefer
a hotel swimming pool with children jumping like flying fish in the ocean
They like free food menu on the table even though there are lots of buffet from their home
town. They are amazed for the flat screen TV in their lodge room after they just bought one
for Christmas. Subsequently, the reality sinks in. They start GROANING, GROANING and
GROANING for what they have done. They are whining in such a resentment" TIMESHARE
WHAT THE HECK, TIMESHARE WHAT THE HECK, TIMESHARE WHAT THE HECK"
They didn't know "WHEN SHOPPING FOR A COW, MAKE SURE THAT THE PRICE OF TAIL
IS INCLUDED".

Anytime visiting the Orlando area, we are asked to do a "tour", for the right incentive ($100) we will listen to the spiel with no intention of buying. We had gone on many presentations prior to buying because it was a requirement of our mini-vacation, but we never bought then. Getting to know the different resorts and then buying resale was our plan. Knowing not to believe anything the sales person said, starting with the 90 minute lie, unfortunately we did succumb. Not at a presentation! Never would we do that and I don't understand why anyone would. Stupid, stupid people, look on E-bay prior to going on a presentation, it's a sure way out.

When checking into a resort, we will be asked to preview the resort during an informal breakfast and for our time, are offered an incentive. Why not! Get paid to eat. Knowing full well that this is a sales tactic, we always go with no intention of buying anything at that time. They continue to offer, we continue to go and collect the gift. They may think they are punishing us by staying over the promised 90 minutes; we just keep eating their food and drinking their sodas and saying no, no, no.
